and today is a part of almost everyone's daily life.
Most telephones are for domestic or business use but there are also many public telephones:- kiosks,
booths in airports and railway stations, rented phones in shops, hotels and hospitals etc..
The development of these public telephones is a fascinating story of both social
history and design...
