URL shortener
The brief for this project was to combine the client's favourite features of tinyurl, bit.ly and goo.gl. We had a working demonstration of the concept running in a day, and a complete multi-user solution within a week. And a very short domain name for it! (Unfortunately, it's no longer in use, but we may revive it some time for our own amusement, as it's rather good.)
